General History[]
Happy aquarium was published by Crowdstar in the October of 2009, then bought by 101XP in assumed 2014 time and shut down on June the 15th in 2021. Unfortunately you can no longer play Happy Aquarium. It is possible Happy Aquarium was shut down after a scandal over a fraud scheme. The main decline in the games player base happened once 101XP decided to put the game under a subscription based system.

Fishville[]
Fishville was a game made by the same people in the October of 2011 published under Zynga who had to unfortunately shut down on the 5th of December in 2012, before this happened, the same people who developed Fishville moved 3 years before the shut down of Fishville, to develop Happy Aquarium.
Fish with attitude[]
Fish with attitude was made by the same people as Happy Aquarium after selling the game to 101XP, this game had generally better graphics. Fish with attitude was published on May the 1st 2013 and closed on the 31st of December 2017.
Gameplay[]
Breeding and General Tasks[]
- Though this is speculation and based on memory, there were many different ways to play. Many remember the feeding, cleaning and breeding functions, but there are some forgotten aspects.
- You could sell your adult fish for gold.(and for xp starting at level 15)
Decorating[]
- Decorating your tank was a wide appeal. You were able to buy things with the average coin, as well as with pearls.
- People who payed could get ahead and have cooler tanks, but what it comes down to, is that if you played long enough, you would have a nice tank.
- You could also have multiple tanks that could be expanded at multiple levels. (10,20,etc.) which were indicated on the icon of the fish tank.
Side content[]
Side content includes many things that could be done for bonuses such as Friend interactions like visiting their fish tank.
Collectables and Help[]
- Collectables were items that were listed out on old parchments in the game where when you had collected all pieces, you could get creatures and decorations as rewards, such as the frog.
- During down time there were a few extra spots where you would be met with a picture of a pirate ship where you must collect agreements from your friends as Friend interactions, so you could form a pirate crew, this was mostly to increase player numbers. For doing these there were often rewards available such as a green frog from the box in the first aquarium on the top left.
Mini-Games[]
- There was a training game where you had to help your fish cross a stream by clicking on obstacles to help avoid them. As a reward, your fish could do tricks such as spins and up and down zig zags.
- There was a treasure hunt minigame where you were put in a usually similar large fish tank with your fish. During the minigame there is a treasure chest hidden somewhere on the map and coins start raining down, you could collect the coins and treasure chest for rewards, the treasure chest often contained collectable decorations.
- During certain events there were also boardwalks available where every day you could roll a dice and move along the board, if you got to the end, rewards would be available.
- As with the click of an icon, you could open the Arcade and play some games with the chance of winning prizes such as the Blue mini dolphin!

What is the Point?[]
The point of the game was to raise fish from an egg, and to keep them happy by feeding and cleaning them. You got experience for doing so, and thus, would get bigger tanks to decorate. The game would also contain a variety of seasonal events and competission such as community posts for best fish tanks, which winners would be then shown in the game as loading screens.
